Patrice Aguesse is Head of the Markets Regulation Division at the French financial markets regulator, Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF). Prior to his current role, from September 2011 to September 2014, Mr. Aguesse was Financial Counselor within the French Treasury department in New York. Previously, he had worked at the AMF since June 1995, where he started as a senior officer in the debt and derivative products division within the corporate finance department. In April 1998, Mr. Aguesse became the head of this division, and from January 2000 took charge within this department of the banks and insurances division. From 2001 to 2003, Mr. Aguesse was seconded to the secretariat of the Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee (EMAC) at the European Parliament. Upon his return in January 2005 he was appointed director in the Regulatory Policy Department in charge of the corporate finance regulation. Before joining the AMF, from 1991 to 1995, Mr. Aguesse worked in the treasury department of Banque Sovac.
